Travel Diary: Salsa in Mallorca

I guess, all of us, at least once, have had a certain wish in our minds and thought that one day it will be true... As for me, this wish became a reason that I could not write a blog post or do basically anything else, because all my time I have been learning to dance salsa! That's right! You may ask: and what Mallorca has to do with it? Well, this year during my summer vacations my girlfriends and I headed to Mallorca, where I was invited to dance salsa while trying the Mallorcan nightlife. This was a good kick to remember how much I have always wanted to learn these kind of dances and so, two weeks ago I finally got a chance to start dancing in Aalborg. Honestly, I couldn't be happier than I am now! This music, moves and energy I get while dancing makes me so positive and happy that I think I found one more passion for life!
But now I am back to share with you my Mallorca experience. I am sure this was not the last time in southern Spain, there are so many beautiful places definitely worth visiting! We did not have much time to visit the whole island, but I would suggest to rent a car and explore the island to the fullest, as some of the guys we met did. We stayed in Palmanova, which is around 30min away from Palma. We chose this place for sandy beaches (try the frozen youghurt they have right next to the beach) and nightlife (visit the BCM Planet Dance club in Magaluf).
We also visited the capital Palma. Let me tell you, guys, I have a small obsession with palm trees (my friends always laugh that one day I will climb one:)), but I think a palm tree to me is sort of a symbol of great vacations and relax: summer, sea, warmth... So, Palma with its amount of palm trees was an amazing place for me to visit!
The Palma Cathedral with palm trees, of course:

Hello October!

Wow it is hard to believe that October is already here! Fall, as I have mentioned before, is by far my favorite season of the year. There is definitely something magic about it. Today I want to share some fall-ish images and thoughts that make fall so inspirational and beautiful. I am a huge coffee lover, but in fall I find myself drinking a lot of warm cacao while burning candles (yes, candles are my love). I have recently come across the idea of putting cinnamon sticks around candles, see the image below, and I think I am going to try it out soon.
And of course, I couldn't resist to show the cookies I found on Pinterest which have the shape of autumn leaves. So good would that be to drink with a cacao..

I don't know how about you, guys, but even though I try to live a healthier lifestyle and work out, I cannot stop eating sweets, especially if they are so delicious looking cookies or cinnamon buns... When I was coming to study and live to Denmark, I heard about their famous delicious buns, but I had no idea that they are so(!) delicious! Whenever in Denmark - a must try for you!
Having eaten so much fall-ish sweets, as I like calling it, I really love fall for one more thing... Trees with apples and apple picking. I always remember my sister and I picking apples and spending time with the family while baking an apple pie afterwards. Having said that I am pretty sure I am gonna bake one this weekend! Is it only me so fascinated with fall or do you also find fall so beautiful? I am curious, please, let me know!

OOTD: T-shirt dress

When fall is so warm and beautiful these days, we don't t even need  to wear much. I like to feel comfortable yet casually dressed most of the time, and I feel like this more classic version of the T-shirt dress does just that. This black dress is versatile, as you can wear it with black sandals during summer (oh, it was one of my favorites this summer!) or, as I have done now, pair it with your favorite black booties and opaque tights for fall. Being dressed like that I am totally ready to spend the day out. What do you think of this kind of dresses? Let me know! Love, L.

What I am wearing: Seppala dress, Bianco snake pattern bag, H&M boots,
Michael Kors watch, Pandora bracelet, Perfume: D&G 3 L'Imperatrice

Weekend Notes

There are days when you just need to be productive and feel inspired at the same time. I sort of have this feeling today when there is so much to do over the weekend. Having arrived to live in Denmark one thing I really fell in love with is decorating your space. The Danish people put so much effort into finding unique pieces and making their homes warm and cozy, so whenever I feel a bit down, I would just go to Pinterest and spend a while pinning my favorite images for a beautiful home. I thought this morning I will share some of the images that inspire me to stay productive today. What inspires you this weekend?

Current Constants: D&G 3 L'IMPERATRICE

I guess you have already noticed that I mention the perfume I am wearing together with the outfits' description. The reason for this is that even though I love fashion and clothes, I believe that you can impress or make yourself be remembered by the way you smell. I guess, we all have these scents that remind us the day we were really happy, our favorite season or that someone special in our lives..

My favorite scent at the moment must be D&G L'Imperatrice that I received as a birthday present from one of my dear friends. I can tell you that once I tried it, it immediately became one of my all time favorites! This is a beautiful fruity floral fragrance that lasts for quite a time. Here is a short description of this perfume: Succulent exotic fruits and bright pink florals give way to a musky, appetite-arousing base. Flamboyant and energetic, for L’Imp√©ratrice life is a movie and she is its heroine. All heads turn when she enters a room. Vibrant, magnetic she exudes charisma and force of character.

Notes:

Top notes: Rhubarb, Red Currant, Juicy Kiwi Accord

Heart notes: Pink Cyclamen, Fresh Watermelon Accord

Base notes: Musky Notes, Sandalwood, Grapefruit Wood

I would describe this perfume as fresh, feminine and individual. If you are looking for something like this, try
D&G L'Imperatrice!

OOTD: Weekend and pastels

Hej lovies! Yes, Hej, because this is actually how you write Hi in Danish and you learn that when you are living in Denmark at least for some time... I have been here for 2 years already, and many people might find it surprising how such a small country on the world map may be quite a puzzle to solve (the ones living here I think would agree:) ). Currently I am living in Aalborg, northern part of Denmark. A weekend in Aalborg can be spent in a variety of ways, one of them is going out to the famous street Jomfru Ane Gade full of cafes and bars and chill out with your friends... Well, this weekend I did just that and would like to share on of the outfits I wore on Friday. How did you spend your weekends?? Would love to hear from you!

What I am wearing: Forever21 blazer (bought in the U.S.), Mango top, Pieces jeans, Pieces clutch,
Lorenzo sandals, Michael Kors watch, Pandora bracelet, Accessorize necklace, Perfume: Clinique "Happy"

Travel Diary: Helsinki

Do you like wondering and exploring the world, cultures, people? I simply love doing that! As September is also a month for fashion weeks in the world, my Travel Diary section I dedicate to my last year's trip to Helsinki where I attended the I Love Me exhibition which is the biggest health and beauty fair in northern Europe. I would consider this trip as one of the best trips I have ever had, probably because this city fascinated me with so many contrasts I could have imagined. I am not by any means an expert in architecture, but I felt like there is a blend of Western and Eastern styles which gives the city a special vibe. It was impressive to see some neoclassical treasures, for example, the Helsinki Cathedral which so reminds the Russian Church, and be surrounded by buildings having the Scandinavian touch in a few minutes. Of course, because of history and the border with Russia many people speak Russian and you can even find Russian shops (see pictures below). As for shopping (of course, I have to mention that..) many brands seen in Helsinki can be found in the whole Scandinavia, though you can find a great variety of European brands, for example MangoHave any of you participated in fashion/beauty fairs? What do you like about them?

A great chalkboard on "Natural Goods Company" stand where each one of us could sign! The company offers products from the brands that use natural extracts in their cosmetics: http://naturalgoodscompany.com/.

Beautiful decorations on a stand presenting everything you need for a perfect wedding.
Fashion Lounge and Bloggers' Lounge had many activities going on. Some known bloggers from Finland were invited to speak about health and beauty!
